Since our inception, ITRM Advisory has been completely
focused on building a strategic, quality IT risk management consulting practice.
ITRM Advisory is focused on the evaluation of technology-related processes and controls and overseeing the implementation of technology assurance and information security initiatives. The firm's expertise covers the development of work standards and methodologies in conducting information system control reviews. Other areas of expertise include bank regulatory controls for information technology, Internal Audit Outsourcing and Co-sourcing, ERP system implementation controls and quality assurance, Sarbanes-Oxley Readiness, Bank Regulatory Compliance, Third Party Assurance Services under SSAE18, and Information Security Architecture assessments.

Oscar Chacon, CISA
Principal
Oscar Chacon heads ITRM Advisory LLC, an IT risk management consulting firm specializing in assisting clients in a variety of industries, including financial services and banking, manufacturing, hospitality, government, healthcare, higher education, utility, nonprofit, and high technology industries with IT risk management and control implementation services.
Oscar was formerly with KPMG LLP’s Information Risk Management Practice for close to a decade, and with a major California private bank where he developed and implemented the enterprise information security architecture as the Head of Information Security, along with the Gramm-Leach-Bliley risk management program for IT.
Oscar received his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information
Systems - with an emphasis in Systems Analysis, and a Bachelor of Science
degree in Business Administration with an option in Accounting, and a Minor
in Economics from California State University, Los Angeles. He holds a
certificate in EDP Auditing/Quality Assurance from the University of
California, Los Angeles-Extension. He is a 25-year Certified Information
Systems Auditor and is certified by the Information Systems Audit and
Control Association.

Oscar also proudly serves on the Dean's Advisory Board for the School of Business and Economics at his Alma Mater, where he assists professors in understanding the latest technologies and best practices for students to learn and be competitive in the job market with.
